Links golf. Longer stories.

Atlantic dunes, lively towns, and a trip with as much character off the course as on it.

A TRIP WITH ROOM TO BREATHE

The right place.
The right pace.

For a first Ireland golf trip, a regional itinerary is more rewarding than a coast-to-coast checklist. The southwest offers a natural starting point for a conversation about Lahinch, Ballybunion, and other Atlantic links. Exact courses depend on visitor access and your dates.

ONE WAY TO EXPERIENCE IT

A starting point, made yours.

Illustrative itinerary.
All arrangements require confirmation.

Days 1–2

Ease into the coast

Arrive and settle into your first base. Schedule a warm-up round after allowing time for travel and recovery.

Days 3–4

Follow the fairways

Play your confirmed anchor rounds with time between them. Choose lodging around the route rather than moving hotels every night.

Days 5–7

A little more Ireland

Add a second base only when it improves the trip. Keep an afternoon for the coast, local food, or a day away from golf.

What to know
before you go.

Choose a region first

A southwest route and a northern links route are separate trip concepts. Trying to combine them in a short week adds transfers and limits flexibility.

Build around your group

Agree on walking comfort, room sharing, and the number of rounds before collecting quotes. A great itinerary must fit the least golf-intensive traveler too.

Confirm the full cost

Ask whether transport, caddie charges, gratuities, meals, and single-room supplements are included. These can change the comparison between proposals.
